Pas will be fielding candidates in 11 seats in the 11th Sarawak State Election and will be prepared to fight candidates from any parties including DAP.

Pas election director Datuk Mustafa Ali said nine of the state seats were old constituencies while the remaining two were new areas under the latest re-delineation exercise for Sarawak which saw 11 new state seats created.

"Pas has decided to contest in 11 seats after consultations with coalition partner PKR while no discussions were held with DAP as PAS and DAP have severed ties," he told the media here today.

Meanwhile, Mustafa conceded that Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem was a force to be reckoned with in the state election as a random survey showed there was a feel good factor about the chief minister.

Adenan yesterday had said that he had proposed to the Election Commission to set nomination on April 18 and April 30 to be the polling day.
