Sabahans should not be easily swayed by opposition party leaders who are only out to deceive the people to win their support, said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

He described the opposition as a disenchanted lot who try to gain public support by making false accusations against the government and its leaders.

"These people are frustrated because they have lost their power and positions and are trying to be candidates in the general election so they go to the villages to win support.

"Don't be influenced by these irresponsible people who are only capable of creating disunity among the people," he said at a ceremony to hand over zakat aid to 903 recipients at Kampung Sungai Obar near here, Sunday.

Musa added that these opposition leaders were full of lies as they would not be able to fulfil their promises.

"There is no point in supporting them as they will not be able to implement development projects or protect the people's welfare," he said.
