PAS does not have to wait for a month to decide whether the party wants join Pakatan Harapan as offered by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

Its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reiterated that PAS retains it policy of not cooperating with any party that has a relationship with DAP and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).

"No need to wait a month... we have a policy. Our policy is (we) do not cooperate with parties that have relationships with DAP and Amanah.

"We have made a decision. There's no need to wait for PPBM," he told a press conference after officiating the PAS's charity convention at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) auditorium, here today.

In fact, he said PAS will also make a decision on their ties with PKR during the party's upcoming Muktamar on April 28, in Alor Setar.

On Saturday, PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has given the PAS leadership one month to decide whether the party wants to join Pakatan Harapan or not.

He said although the matter was still in discussion following a meeting between the two parties on Feb 1, a quick decision was needed in order to work out the next strategy.

Meanwhile, PAS vice-president, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said Dr Mahathir Mohamed need not give an ultimatum to the party as its policy clearly states that it will not join PH.

He said if PPBM still wish to collaborate, it needs to leave PH and join Gagasan Sejahtera.
