Following the heightened crisis between Pakatan Rakyat leader and Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said her following has yet to have a thorough and heart-to-heart talk with the other PR leaders.

According to Wan Azizah, the three parties view the situation as a ‘cool off' period.

“Judging from the present scenario, we are going through a cooling-off period for DAP, PAS and PKR,” said Wan Azizah to reporters at Parliament lobby today.

When asked if this was critical for the Selangor government, she said that the matter needs to be thoroughly discussed.

“The matter needs to be comprehensively discussed ... I honestly fee that the Selangor government can be retained. Although we have our differences, we still uphold the principle that we are the governing administration for Selangor,” she added.

Subsequently, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng reportedly said that the PR ‘shadow cabinet’ suggested by Azizah is impractical, thus DAP chooses to form its own shadow cabinet lineup 18 portfolios that should be filled by the members of the party Parliament.

Following the move by DAP, PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang on Friday, stressed that his party is ready to sever ties with DAP.

Abdul Hadi also said the readiness to end the cooperation was due to the statement by DAP leaders who wish to form a shadow cabinet with the involvement from PAS and PKR.
