Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will not give away any of its parliamentary seats won in the previous general election to the party's allies during the 14th General Election (GE14), said its secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

He stressed that the matter which was entrusted by PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, served as a guide to any of the party's leaders involved in any negotiation process within the pact.

"Anwar has told the party that the 30 parliamentary seats won by PKR cannot be given away to anyone (any party).

"In addition, the seats that PKR almost won or lost with razor-thin margins cannot be given away to anyone either," he said in his winding up speech at the party's 12th National Congress here Sunday.

Saifuddin also suggested that PKR members selected to contest in the GE14 must declare their assets.

"If I were to be selected as a candidate, I am ready to declare my earning...(which includes) pension of elected representative, pension of member of parliament and allowance(s) from the Penang government. (Also,) how much cash and cars that I have. I am ready.

"This is to ensure that the candidates from PKR are not just clean but (they) look cleaner. More white than white...with higher moral, credibility, as well as better confidence so that we will gain more trust and support from the people," he said.
