The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leadership Council is holding a meeting tomorrow to finalise its decision and to end the impasse on the Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) prime ministerial candidate.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the party will make its official stand on the issue in the monthly meeting.

In a statement today, Saifuddin described in detail the chronology of the PH leaders' meeting with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal early this month.

"On June 1, Mohamad Sabu (Amanah president), Anthony Loke (DAP organising secretary) and I were members of the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council in a meeting with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

"During the meeting, Tun Dr Mahathir did not reject a proposal for DS Anwar as the prime ministerial candidate, and informed that he would need to discuss with the Members of Parliament from Bersatu and DS Shafie Apdal.

"No other options were presented or discussed at that time," he said.
