Perlis MCA aims to wrest the Indera Kayangan state seat from the opposition in the 14th general election (GE14).

Its deputy chairman Khaw Hock Kong said the party was not expecting a lot of problems to realise the plan as it believed support from the Chinese community for the party was getting stronger.

"We will give full focus to wresting the seat. Looking at the current political situation, the Chinese community generally seems to regret supporting the opposition in the last general election.

"The feedback received has been very positive and there are those who said they couldn't wait for GE14 to make up for their past mistake and to ensure MCA wins the Indera Kayangan state seat, while retaining the Titi Tinggi state seat," he said.

Khaw, who is also Titi Tinggi assemblyman, was commenting on Perlis MCA's preparations in facing the next general election.

The Indera Kayangan seat was represented by Dr Por Choo Chor from MCA before losing to Chan Ming Kai from DAP in the opposition pact in GE13.
