PAS has stressed that the Islamic party will never take the 'express bus that does not stop at its station'.

On the other hand, the party remains steadfast in its stand to continue to support the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Muafakat Nasional (MN) coalitions.

PAS president, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said all the party's members of Parliament (MPs) continued to firmly support Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister.

When asked if he was offered to join Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's camp, the Marang Member of Parliament refused to entertain such assumptions and said his party was firm with the current coalition.

“We shall continue. 18 PAS MPs continue to support Tan Sri Muhyiddin to be Prime Minister.

"Continue to be with Perikatan Nasional, Muafakat Nasional and Pas people do not take the 'express bus that does not stop at its station'," he said when met here today.

He said this when asked to comment on the statement by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) President, Anwar, who claimed that he has a strong majority to form a new government in the near future.

Anwar also said that he had been granted consent to have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, but was postponed because His Majesty was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN).
