The current crisis between PAS and its ally DAP has been described as a child’s play, said Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali.

“I have said this before, don’t force me in this child’s play. PKR’s role is to strengthen Pakatan Rakyat and we must fulfill the people’s aspiration,” he said when met by reporters at Parliament, today.

“We are shouldering the people’s trust and I will decide based on what the people want. That is my responsibility,” he added.

On Saturday, PAS’s 61st Muktamar had accepted a motion without debate to sever all ties with DAP following several statements from the party leaders attacking PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang especially on hudud related matters.

However, the motion also wanted PAS to maintain the tahaluf siyasi or political cooperation in the opposition pact with the PKR.

DAP Selangor state chairman Tony Pua and PAS's Datuk Mahfuz Omar had called on Mohamed Azmin to choose and decide on which party he wants to work on.

Pua had said the future of PR is uncertain following the outcome of the PAS's muktamar, which was held over the weekend.

Pua had said it is inconceivable for anyone to think or believe that Pakatan Rakyat can continue to exist in its current state given the above unequivocal motion.
