The formation of a new opposition pact by PAS is not a threat to Pakatan Harapan, said Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Dr Wan Azizah, who is Parti Keadilan Rakyat president and Permatang Pauh MP, said this was because the new pact would still be opposition.

"Why should we feel threatened...they (PAS) said they are the opposition, not the government," she told reporters after launching International Women's Day Celebration for the Permatang Pauh constituency, here today.

On March 10, PAS' secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan was reported as saying that PAS would form a new opposition pact with an unnamed multiracial party on March 16. Pakatan Harapan is made DAP, PKR and Parti Amanah Negara, a splinter of PAS.
