The political parties in Pakatan Harapan will register the Opposition pact for the coming general election, said Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.

He said this is the joint decision made in the Pakatan Harapan's first presidential council held together with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

"The four political parties in the pact will hold more meetings to discuss on preparations to face the GE. We have also decided to register Pakatan Harapan.

He said the pact will be officially registered with the 18 names of the top leaders of the pact.

The meeting which was held for almost two hours was attended by leaders from all the four parties.

Mohamad Sabu said the pact had also agreed to come up with one manifesto and logo to face the GE.

"Seat distributions are still in the initial stages," he added.

Also present were Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Lim Guan Eng.
