KUALA LUMPUR:There is no need to wait for an announcement from Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to  that Pakatan Rakyat had ceased to exist,” said DAP Parliamentary leader, Lim Kit Siang.

He said, if one of the parties had passed the motion (to sever ties), all quarters must accept the reality and no other parties within the coalition should interfere in making the decision.

“No, if a party had passed a motion, we should just accept it,” said Kit Siang when met at Parliament Tuesday.

He said, Pakatan Rakyat had not ceased ... it just no longer exists.

With the demise of Pakatan Rakyat he said, the time is right for the people to move forward and that the people should be given a new hope.

“We don’t want the people’s hope and faith to continue to wane just as it did after the 13th General Election, because then it simply diminished,” he said.

He added that his party must accept the fact that Pakatan Rakyat had ceased to exist, and that it is time to turn over a new leaf.

The renewed hope is crucial as it the people’s aspirations at the 13th General Election is relevant and a political reform must take place before the 14th GE.

“Now, how would the reformation look like? Only time will decide … DAP should not decide drastically,” said Kit Siang.

Lim who is also the MP for Gelang Patah is of the opinion that he stands his ground over the fact that Pakatan Rakyat is now dead.
