Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi denied speculations that three Menteri Besar would be dropped following the Cabinet reshuffling on July 28.

He confirmed that all the three Menteri Besar involved will maintain their positions and continue leading their state.

The three Menteri Besar are, Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Mukriz Tun Mahathir, Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.

Stressing that he does not intend to supersede the Prime Minister, Ahmad Zahid said no reshuffling or changes would be made in any state and has requested no speculations be made about the matter.

“I do not want to supersede the Prime Minister in this matter (announce their position) but rest assure that there will not be any reshuffling or changes in any state and don’t create speculations about it.

“Don’t make the leaders feel that they are ignored,” said Ahmad Zahid.

He added that the Prime Minister’s stand was clear and what’s important is the support from all quarters and it should not be linked to any decision made during the reshuffling as it was a national level reshuffling.

He also reminded all UMNO leaders to remain loyal and provide their full support to the Prime Minister.

Ahmad Zahid was met after attending the Bagan Datoh UMNO division delegates meeting held at Wisma UMNO Hutan Melintang on Saturday.

The meeting was opened by Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.
