No disciplinary action will be taken against 14 Kedah UMNO division chiefs, said party secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, today.

He said the UMNO headquarters monitored the press conference held by the Kedah Umno division chiefs yesterday, asking UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to make changes to the top state leadership.

"They hope that the UMNO president can immediately make changes for the sake of the party and the interests of the people of the state.

"Therefore, there is no issue in which UMNO secretary-general should take disciplinary action against the 14 Kedah Umno division chiefs," he said in a statement here.

Yesterday, almost all UMNO assemblymen and members of Parliament in the state, had voiced their non-confidence in the leadership of Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Mahathir as Menteri Besar and State UMNO Liaison Committee chairman.
