Axed PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu or better known as Mat Sabu said a new Opposition pact will be revealed after Hari Raya Aidilftri.

Speaking at the breaking of fast eventorganisedby Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng yesterday, Mat Sabu said the new pact would be better than the now defunct Pakatan Rakyat.

"Our job is not just to replace Umno and Barisan Nasional. We must present a new formula," he was quoted by news portal The Malaysian Insider.

Lim had declared PR ceased to exist following PAS's decision to accept a motion without debate at its Muktamar early June to sever all political ties with DAP.

The PR was formed on 1st April 2008 by the DAP, PAS and PKRfollowingthe March 8, 2008 general election.

Lim also blamed PAS’s leadership, led by Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for the death of PR, in particular the Selangor MB crisis andhudud.

Meanwhile, former PAS central committee member Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa who was also present at the event promised a new force political would soon emerge.

"We will see a new wave. Hopefully assyawalcomes, we will see a new wave emerge," he was quoted saying at the function.
