Datuk Seri Najib Razak had 'advised' MIC president Datuk Seri G.Palanivelto comply with the Registrar of Societies (RoS) orders for re-election of its 2013 party polls, a source told Astro AWANI on Tuesday.

The party leader who is also a central working committee (CWC) member said the meeting between the leaders held on Tuesday morning discussed the current crisis in MIC.

"Najib told Palanivel to comply with theRoSorders. That much I can confirm," said the source.

The MIC leader also dismissedtalksthat Palanivel who is also the Natural Resources and Environment Minister, will once again head the re-election process, together with his appointed CWC members.

"No, I don't think so. He is the reason for the whole mess," the leader said.

TheRoSin a letter dated June 23 agreed for a re-election to be conducted by theinterim2009-2013 CWC.

The party has time until October to hold its re-elections.

Yesterday, Bernama reported Palanivel held a closed-door meeting with Najib at about 9am, at the prime minister's office.

But,detailsof what transpired during the meeting was not disclosed.
