Deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reminded Felda settlers not to be easily influenced by the tactics of the opposition which claimed that the government failed to protect their rights.

He described the accusation by the opposition as being unfounded and aimed at seeking political sympathy from voters in the Felda land schemes in the Rompin parliamentary constituency.

"They want to gain political sympathy by making unfounded accusations that the government had failed to defend the ownership titles of the settlers resulting in losses suffered by the Felda settlers.

"This is political accusation that is excessive which, unfortunately, has influenced the children of the Felda settlers too," he said when opening the Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Keratong, here today which was also attended by Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad.
