MCA has urged the Chinese community in Sarawak to lend their support to Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem and his leadership, especially to face the upcoming state elections.

Its president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said this is because Adenan is known to be a very open minded person and is very supportive towards creating a united, multi-racial society in Sarawak.

“You can see that under his leadership, the state of Sarawak has become stronger.

“He wants support from the Chinese people. And he openly appealed to the Chinese community in Sarawak to support his leadership and to support his government so that he can form a multiracial government.

“That's why I am appealing to the Chinese Community in Sarawak to support Tan Sri Adenan Satem, to support the Chinese Barisan Nasional candidate in Sarawak so that he can continue to have a multiracial government in Sarawak,” said Liow in a press conference after launching the Akademi Laut Malaysia’s (ALAM) 114th convocation ceremony, here, today.

So far BN has already won two seats uncontested.
