Kelantan PAS has begun identifying party members who have associated themselves with the Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB) or New Hope Movement (GHB) set up by several senior leaders who lost in the recent PAS elections, said state party commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yakob.

The Kelantan menteri besar and PAS deputy spiritual leader said PAS had "eyes and ears" in every branch who would report to the state PAS before a formal complaint was submitted to the central PAS disciplinary committee for action.

"We are monitoring members who join GHB. According to the party constitution, state or party wings can report to the central PAS when members flout party rules and the disciplinary committee will decide on the cases," he told reporters when met at the Aidilfitri reception of the Kedai Mulong PAS branch here last night.

At the event, about 100 PAS branch members headed by Kedai Mulong PAS branch chief Mohamad Abdullah expressed their loyalty to PAS.

Last Thursday, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reportedly said PAS would take the appropriate action against PAS leaders and members who attend the GHB planned roadshow.

He was also quoted as instructing party members to toe the line and warning errant members of the appropriate action after getting the reports from the party divisions and branches.
