A decision whether Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) will join Pakatan Harapan or not, will only be known after its supreme council meeting scheduled December 13.

However, PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who confirmed the matter to Astro AWANI, did not disclose the time and venue of the meeting.

"We have not decided yet (to join Pakatan Harapan or not). We will have a meeting on December 13, next week," he said when contacted today.

Yesterday, PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the decision must be made through a meeting and upon approval of other party leaders.

"We will decide in the near future... I need to get the approval of all the others and talk to my colleagues," he said at the DAP National Conference yesterday.

He also said PPBM does not wish to wait any much longer for PAS' response because it really wants to merge all parties which are against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak under one umbrella.

He said opposition parties need to start making some moves in coming up with plans to defeat Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming general election.
