Former PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa wrote to PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang today seeking to nullify his expulsion from the party.

The Salor state assemblyman received a letter on the expulsion from PAS Disciplinary Committee chairman Dr Sanusi Daeng Mariok on May 24.

"The expulsion is invalid because it did not adhere to the party constitution and was not in accordance with the principles of Islamic justice," he told reporters here.

Husam said he believed the action against him was on the grounds that he was a witness at a trial of a case involving a company that opposed the state government and he had been labelled as trying to sabotage the Kelantan
government.

He said it was hoped that his letter could be considered before the 62nd PAS annual general assembly scheduled for three days from June 1 in Kota Baharu.

If his expulsion was nullified, he would attend the assembly in his capacity as the Kubang Kerian PAS chief, he said.

Husam said he believed the chances of his return to PAS were bright and added that he would continue to criticise anything he felt to be irregular in the Kelantan government administrative system.
