After being sacked from PAS four months ago, it is believed that Datuk Husam Musa will be joining Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) on Tuesday.

Taking to a status in his Facebook account on Monday, the Salor state assemblyman said he will be putting 'a new jersey'.

Although he did not name the new political party, speculation was rife that he had chosen to join his former PAS comrades in Amanah.

Husam said he had waited for some time but there was no indication that the PAS Supreme Council would be calling him for an explanation.

"Now, it is almost four months that I had been sacked from PAS. Within that period, there seems to be no indication that I will be readmitted into the party. No review on my dismissal. My explanatory letter to the PAS president is futile," he said.

Besides that, he also lashed out at PAS, saying the party had failed to reform Kelantan since 1990.

"My birth state has not improved after a wave of reforms started in 1990. It seems as if the agenda that I had been championing before, had been 'sold'," he said.

He added that the Islamic struggle did not belong to a single party.

On May 24, Husam received a letter on his expulsion from PAS disciplinary committee chairman Dr Sanusi Daeng Mariok.

Husam said he believed the action against him was based on him being a witness at a trial of a case involving a company that opposed the state government, and he had been labelled as trying to sabotage the Kelantan government.
