DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng on Monday appealed to PKR to make a decision in favour of the proposed snap election in Penang.

Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister, openly appealed to the PKR top leadership to agree to the plan to call for a snap election.

"I appeal to all PKR leaders, not just here, but also those at central level to come into consensus even though I know they are scared of losing seats," he said at the Penang Government briefing entitled "The Future of Penang" here Monday.

He said DAP was also worried over the same issue but he was confident with Penangites.

"I know they (PKR) will hold a meeting on Tuesday and hope they will support us," he said.

Also present at the briefing were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu, Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Rashid Hasnon, Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy and almost all state executive committee members.
