Federal Territories (FT) PAS has described DAP's decision to cease all cooperation with PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for his party's hudud push as showing the pompous and arrogant attitude of DAP leaders.

Its commissioner, Mohamad Noor Mohamad said it was also a clear case of 'kacang lupakan kulit' (a Malay proverb that means like a peanut that forgets its shell), especially after the opposition pact's big victory at the 13th general election (GE13).

"I can see DAP leaders' pompous and arrogant attitude in that statement. They must remember that their victory in GE13 was partly due to the support from PAS.

"So, if they don't withdraw that statement, they better not be so confident of winning at the next general election," he told a press conference after attending FT PAS Convention here Saturday.

Mohamad Noor also described DAP's action as rude and insane as Abdul Hadi was the president of PAS.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was reported to have said in a recent statement that:

"DAP can no longer work with a PAS president like Abdul Hadi who is dishonest and has no integrity."

Lim also accused Abdul Hadi of betraying the opposition pact by filing the notice of motion to the Dewan Rakyat on March 18 for tabling of the Private Member's Bill to implement the hudud (law) in Kelantan without consulting the opposition pact's leadership.

In George Town, Penang PAS deputy commissioner Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof called on the public to be objective and not too emotional in discussing the proposed implementation of hudud law.

"What is more worrying is when they discus it on social media where everybody can simply share what's on their mind. Sometimes, they write false reports which are packed with emotional words. I hope we can control that freedom," he said.

On March 19, the Kelantan Legislative Assembly passed the Syariah Criminal Code II 1993 (Amendment 2015) of hudud law to be implemented in the state.
