"PAS has clearly taken advantage of DAP's helplessness and submissiveness to do whatever it wants, even if it is against the federal constitution and the people's wish," he said in a statement. here.

In a separate statement, Wanita MCA condemned PAS' persistence on hudud law and believed the action will bring an end to Malaysia's multiculturalism.

Wanita MCA chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie said the unanimous passing of hudud law by the Kelantan state assembly is a dangerous trend that will eventually overturn the secular legal system.

Meanwhile, Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong expressed his disappointment over the passing of amendments to the hudud law in Kelantan.

He stressed that Gerakan was consistent with its stand on hudud law which he described as unconstitutional and impractical in Malaysian society.
