Kedah PAS described the new Cabinet announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday as a line-up that stands out and oozes confidence.

State PAS Commissioner Ahmad Yahaya said the new Cabinet members' clean and proven work track record has gone down well with the people, who had wanted an administration membered by those experienced in fields that could benefit the people.

"The people's worries and concerns have eased looking at this (Cabinet) line-up, and the Prime Minister has introduced refreshing changes in preparing the people for these challenging times," he said while congratulating Muhyiddin in a statement here today.

He said history had also been created when for the first time a Cabinet line-up was announced with no deputy prime minister, while the Mufti of the Federal Territories, Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri was appointed Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs).

"We should also be proud that all of them (Cabinet members) had been vetted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

Kedah PAS also thanked Muhyiddin over the appointment of Pendang MP Awang Solahudin Hashim as the Deputy Human Resources Minister, he said.
