A report card on Barisan Nasional’s progress of the activities and projects implemented by the ruling party will be revealed this year to fulfill the government’s promise of accountability to the rakyat since winning the 13th General Election.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak told a press conference on Monday night that a report card would state the progress of the coalition since 2013.

Najib, who is also BN president, had chaired the party’s Supreme Council meeting on Monday evening, which marked the first supreme council meeting since the cabinet reshuffle on July 28.

He said it was crucial to inform the public on the progress of projects carried out by the government as BN wanted to have the transparency and accountability especially when these projects were part of the GE13 manifesto.

“We want to inform the rakyat how the BN accountability principle works, we want to inform the method and strategies of its implementation,” he said, after chairing the meeting which was attended by BN supreme council members at Menara Dato’ Onn, here on Monday.

Also present were deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as well as leaders of other component parties.
