KUALA LUMPUR: The Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery must shrug off the 'inferiority complex' mentality, and counter negative allegations hurled by the opposition, especially on social media.

UMNO Information chief, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the party's machinery must have the confidence and courage to counter the allegations and sentiments of hatred sewn by the opposition through the latter's campaign movements.
"We must overcome the psychological barrier, that is, not move forward without having a 'winning mentality', because we have many advantages," said Annuar, who was one of the panel speakers at the town hall session known as ' Dialog Perjuangan4All' here tonight.

Other panel members were Wanita UMNO Information chief, Datuk Rosni Zahari, who is also political secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister, and UMNO Youth executive council member Shahril Suffian Hamdan.

Annuar said such direct dialogue sessions with the community proved that BN was steadfast in countering allegations and upholding the truth.
