Barisan Nasional (BN) and UMNO leaders last night began a series of 'Ceramah Rakyat' to explain to the people current issues including those raised by the opposition.

The first session saw Minister in the Prime Minister's Department cum BN communications director, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan and Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar going to the ground.

The session held at Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung, was also attended by Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong and MIC deputy president Datuk Seri S.K. Devamany.

Among the topics touched by Abdul Rahman was economic sabotage by certain parties including accusations against government-linked companies (GLC) to topple the government.

"I want to remind the opposition not to sabotage the country's economy as it will ultimately be detrimental to the people," he told a ceramah themed 'Negaraku, Generasiku' (My Country, My Generation).

Abdul Rahman stressed that action has to be taken against parties who sabotage the country's economy as they could harm the nation and the people.

Noh said the failure of the Selangor government could be seen from the poor maintenance of low-cost house infrastructure, waste management, water supply and the dengue outbreak.

He also pointed out that BN has greatly assisted Selangor even though the Selangor is not under BN rule, all for the sake of the people.

The matter was also explained by Mah and Devamany and they told the people not to be easily deceived by the opposition including issues about the economy.
