Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) agreement to join Muafakat Nasional enables Muafakat Nasional to become a stable national political core based on racial, ideological and religious diversity, said Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

He said the union would complete the framework of the unity and solidarity of the Malays.

He also expressed appreciation at the announcement by Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin earlier this morning that Bersatu had agreed to join Muafakat Nasional, a coalition of UMNO and PAS, which supported the Perikatan Nasional as the grand coalition.

"Syukur Alhamdulillah ... Muafakat Nasional brings blessings. The best time for the ummah (Muslim community) to unite. Reject the politics of hatred and reject the politics of disunity ... we unite and then only we rule ... service for all races and ethnicities," he said via Twitter today.

The Prime Minister, in a message when launching the 2020 Srikandi, Armada and divisional meetings which was uploaded via a video on his Facebook page, said that Bersatu's participation in Muafakat Nasional would be finalised soon.
