Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today invited PAS to be together with DAP and PKR as a team to face the 14th General Election (GE14).

He said all Opposition parties must be introspective over the trouncing at the 11th Sarawak State election (PRN11) which clearly showed that the people rejected the squabbling among them.

"As such, Amanah (Parti Amanah Negara) and PAS should continue to advance with PKR and DAP. We should move forward together to face GE14 as a team," he said in a statement here.

The PRN11 saw Barisan Nasional winning 72 of the 82 Sarawak State Assembly seats, including two uncontested.

DAP, which prior to this controlled 12 seats, only won in seven of the 31 seats contested while PKR only won three of 41 seats contested. PAS and Amanah lost in all seats contested.

"Maybe, our achievement could have been much better if from early on we were one at heart and cooperated like we normally did.

"We should accept that our alliances will continue to differ in opinions over certain issues in the future but confidence, prompted by the spirit of solidarity all this while, will help us overcome this difference," Mohamed Azmin said.

PAS, prior to this, decided to no longer be with the Opposition pact.

Several senior leaders of the party also set up Amanah and cooperated with DAP, while PAS formed another Opposition pact with Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia.
