Perak Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Youth members have extended an invitation to former Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah to join its ranks following his resignation from all UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) positions he held.

In a statement released on Wednesday, state Amanah Youth secretary Safarizal Saleh said, they have opened their doors to Ahmad Husni, who had also quit his Cabinet post.

“The invitation is open if Datuk Seri Husni still wants to continue with his struggle in fighting for justice but this time through Amanah.

"We feel this is appropriate following his exit as second finance minister in the Cabinet reshuffle yesterday.

“We, the party’s Youth members, strongly believe there are many reasons that had contributed to his resignation from the post," he said while describing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's announcement yesterday as sending shock waves throughout the nation.

Safarizal also praised the Tambun Member of Parliament for his actions.

Following the Cabinet reshuffle announced by Najib who is also UMNO President, Ahmad Husni also reportedly quit his post as UMNO Tambun division chief and from several posts in UMNO Perak.

Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani was promoted from deputy finance minister to Husni’s portfolio.
