Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman thanked Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin for his consent in allowing him to continue to discharge his duty as the head of the state's administration.

"Syukur. What happened has its wisdom and lesson," said Ahmad Razif after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he would remain as Terengganu MB.

In a media statement yesterday, Ahmad Razif said he is grateful for all the blessings and grace of Allah.

"I thank the Prime Minister for having faith in me and the commitment given by him in solving the issue which hit the state since last week. All the speculation was today answered by the Prime Minister.

"Therefore, I appeal to all the leaders in Terengganu to move forward and fight for the wellbeing of the state and the people," he added.

Speculation about Ahmad Razif's future as the Menteri Besar arose after the the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin withdrew all state awards given to him effective April 22.
