Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem is willing to consider extending the stay of Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in Sarawak upon receiving their formal request.

Adenan's press secretary Ambrose Cheng said the Chief Minister had received reports that Azmin and Lim were requesting that they be allowed to extend their stay in Sarawak during the state election.

Datuk Patinggi Adenan has in the past considered on a case-by-case basis extending the stay of non-Sarawakians and he is willing to consider extending the stay here of both the Chief Minister of Penang and Menteri Besar of Selangor upon receiving their formal request, he said he said in a statement today.

Azmin, the PKR deputy president, was reported to have been told to leave Sarawak by May 2 after being granted only a three-day stay by the state immigration department.

Lim, the DAP secretary general, was told to leave Sarawak by May 5 after he was granted a seven-day stay.
