It's a three-cornered fight for the Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat with incumbent Nurul Izzah Anwar of PKR facing Lembah Pantai Barisan Nasional (BN) coordinator Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin and an independent, Rusli Baba.

The announcement was made at 10.16 am by returning officer Rolan (rpt) Rolan Abdul Rahman at the nomination centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Bandaraya.

Nurul Izzah was the first to hand in her nomination papers, at 9.02 am, followed by Rusli at 9.11 am and Raja Nong Chik at 9.25 am.

In the 2008 general election, Nurul Izzah, the PKR vice-president, secured the seat with a 2,895-vote majority, defeating Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abd Jalil and independent N. Periasamy.
The constituency has 72,396 voters, among them 47 army personnel and their spouses, 2,088 police personnel and their spouses and 36 overseas voters.
