New mum Nicole Wong Siaw Ting is determined to win the hearts people of Seputeh, the constituency that she would be contesting come May 5.

However, it is by pure luck that the Seputeh people are already familiar with Nicole, who has just completed her one month confinement period after giving birth to her second son.

“Two years ago, MCA assigned me to the Seputeh area and asked me to solve issues that crop up in the area. During that period, I engaged with people on the ground and tried to address their problems as much as I can,” she told Astro Awani.

Nicole said the bulk of people’s grouses are about overgrown trees, unruly roads and broken lamposts.

“From my engagement with the people here, I found out many of their issues goes unaddressed by the current MP Teresa Kok, despite the fact that she had a hold on the constituency for three whole terms,” she said.

There are approximately 86,000 voters in Seputeh.
