Balik Pulau Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) members want the central committee to reconsider Yusmadi Yusof as they are rejecting the new candidate for the area.

A group of PKR supporters protested against the top leaders for replacing Yusmadi with an outsider, Muhamad Baktiar Wan Chik. They staged a protest to express their disatisfaction in Balik Pulau town yesterday.

“The reason we are gathered here is to express our thoughts and feeling to the top leaders because we want a winnable candidate not someone who will lose. This is because we want a PKR representative in the Parliament.” said PKR supporter Yusliza Yusoff.

Yusmadi had fought for the rights of the locals especially the less fortunate including giving free education to the children in Balik Pulau.

During the last general election, he won with a majority of 708 votes against Barisan Nasional candidate, Norresah Mohamad.
