Luis Suarez was the top scorer of the South American World Cup qualifier with 11 goals. The Liverpool striker is also the current top scorer for Uruguay with 38 goals, two goals more than of Diego Forlan. Injuries suffered at the end of domestic league almost saw Suarez out of Uruguay’s World Cup squad.
