An UMNO leader in Wilayah Persekutuan has been implicated as the individual responsible in recording UMNO Deputy President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's speech during a closed-door meeting with leaders at Institut Latihan Memperkasakan UMNO (ILMU) in Janda Baik, last Saturday.

The video had gone viral on social media after it was published by blogger, Firdaus Abdullah on his blog, www.apanama.com, recently.

UMNO Work Secretary, Datuk Abd Rauf Yusuf earlier was reported saying that UMNO is in the process of investigating the individual responsible in recording the video.

Rauf said the investigation is led by UMNO vice president, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and it is expected to conclude soon.

“Zahid is now leading the investigation regarding the video. The recording is breaching the rules in ILMU, especially when the recording is being disseminated to public,” he said.

Meanwhile, UMNO Cheras leader, Datuk Seri Syed Ali Alhabshee, expresses his disappointment because Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak refused to listen to Muhyiddin’s suggestion to fire the board of directors of national strategic investment company, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
