Several areas in Gombak and the capital will experience a temporary disruption of water supply scheduled for two days starting Sept 2.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement that the disruption was due to upgrading works on the mechanical and electrical systems at the Wangsa Maju pump house by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

A total of 101 areas in Gombak and 36 areas in Kuala Lumpur will experience water supply disruptions from 8 am on Sept 2 to 6 am the next morning.

Among the affected area in Gombak are Desa Tun Hussein Onn, Taman Bukit Setiawangsa, Keramat AU1 to AU5, Kampung Datuk Keramat, Jalan Jelatek, Wangsa Melawati, Taman Permata, Bukit Mewah, Kemensah Heights, Bukit Antarabangsa, Taman Sri Ampang, Bandar Baru Ampang, Taman Sri Rampai, Ukay Heights and Rampai Niaga Business Park.

Among the affected areas in Kuala Lumpur are Jalan Padang Tembak, Taman Cempaka, Taman Shamelin, Taman Pandan Perdana, Desa Pandan, Taman Kobena, a part of Taman Maluri, Pandan Utama area and Jalan Pandan Mewah.

Syabas advises users to store enough water during the period and contact its Customer Service Centre (PUSPEL) at the toll-free line 1-800-88-5252 or SMS by typing PUSPEL and sent to 39222 for further inquiries.
