The recent leak of Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) Science and English papers should serve as a lesson to all, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

He also called on all parents to stay calm as the government had taken swift action and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.

Muhyiddin who is also the Education Minister said the authorities have several leads including names of those believed to have leaked the papers.

“We are working with CyberSecurity and we have identified the names of those who had leaked the papers. Let the authorities take action,” he said.

“I have discussed with Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh on the independent committee and we want the committee to make detailed evaluation,” he said in a press conference after the Pengkalan Kubor candidate nomination today.

Yesterday, Muhyiddin said the Malaysian Examination Board director Dr Na’imah Ishak and deputy director of operations Dr Wan Ilias Wan Salleh were suspended effective immediately for the leaked papers.

He had said that Na’imah had to take responsibility for the two leaked papers because it affects the integrity of the ministry and public examinations.
