The 2014 Umno general assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre was interrupted today with an announcement by Umno permanent chairman Tan Sri Badruddin Amiruldin on a 'lost boy'.

The boy, aged nine years and wearing a red, black and blue striped shirt, was believed to have lost his way after being separated from his parents.

He was brought into Merdeka Hall, where the assembly was held, by Umno executive-secretary Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh, for an announcement to locate his parents.

"Never before in Umno's assembly had we have a child who is separated from his mother," said Badruddin.

Live footage of the boy was shown on the closed circuit televisions located at various locations at PWTC.
