A recent statement by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Tengku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has sparked concerns among Kelantan football team fans.

Tengku Ismail, better known as TMJ, made the 'joke' regarding Kelantan's striker, Mohammed Ghaddar, during a meeting with Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) fans, on Sunday.

Videos from the meeting, in which TMJ was heard saying "They refused to sell Ghaddar", have been spreading on social media.

A few unofficial Facebook pages of The Red Warriors has posted the videos, with messages to Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) to start putting their acts together in order to keep the Lubnan's striker in the team.

The fans were referring to the issues that have been surrounding the former treble champion team lately.

If Ghaddar isn't being treated the way he should be, it is not impossible for him to leave the team, netizen warn.

Meanwhile, JDT fans said although Ghaddar has been proven a goal scorer, buying him from Kelantan is not necessary as they believe their team is still the best.

KAFA advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa had recently said on his Facebook that Kelantan is in no mood to sell the prolific striker.

Media reports previously said several teams have been eyeing Ghaddar due to his excellent performance in the Super League.

Ghaddar so far has scored 18 goals out of 12 matches, including three hattricks.
