The police held a raid after the screening of "No Fire Zone" which took place at the KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall last night.
The raid took place after the screening ended at around 8:30 pm.
Following the raid, 150 audience members were only asked to show their MyKad. Three individuals from Pusat Komas, a non-governmental organization believed to be the organizer of the event, were taken to the Dang Wangi Police District Headquarters. According to reports, the trio are Arul Prakkash, Lena Hendry and Anna Har.
Also involved during the raid are officers from the Home Ministry and Immigration department.
"No Fire Zone" is a documentary about the final weeks of Sri Lanka's civil war. The documentary covered the entire period from September 2008 to the year 2009 in which thousands of Tamils were killed by the Sri Lankan army.
It was believed that the Sri Lankan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur made a complaint about the film which portrayed the brutal treatment of the Sri Lankan army towards the ethnic Tamil minority from the northern part of the country.
From the latest report received from a source, all three of them refused to provide any statements to the police.

12% of Malaysia ie; 7 million Malaysians, primarily from rural areas are unbanked - meaning they cannot access any financial services.
This is a dire need in Malaysia due to the country’s fast growth rate in mobile banking and e-money transactions, which quadrupled to RM800 billion in 2021.
