An individual, who allegedly bribed the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar RM2 million has surrendered himself at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), said MACC deputy commissioner, Datuk Azam Baki,

The 54-year-old man surrendered to the MACC on Thursday afternoon.

"We are still conducting the investigation. Whether or not the man will be remanded or released will be determined tomorrow," said Azam.

On March 25, the Sultan of Johor revealed he had received a RM2 million offer from an individual to propose his name to the Chief Secretary to the Government to obtain the honorific title, 'Tan Sri' from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
