Sultan Nazrin Shah and Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara today visited 10 tombs of previous Perak sultans and a memorial stone in conjunction with the enthronement of the Sultan of Perak XXXV.

The royal couple arrived at the memorial stone in honour of Sultan Mansur Shah I, who was the second Sultan of Perak, at Kota Lama Kanan Mosque at about 9am.

This was followed by a 'tahlil' and reciting of the 'doa' led by the mosque imam, Ismail Nordin.

Sultan Nazrin Shah also performed 'solat sunat' at the mosque and the royal couple was then seen touching the Sultan Mansur Shah I memorial stone. '

According to Perak history, Sultan Mansur Shah I had disappeared during Friday prayer at the mosque and was believed by the local residents to have passed away.

Since Sultan Mansur Shah I did not have a tomb, a memorial stone was placed at the mosque in his honour.

Sultan Nazrin Shah and Tuanku Zara then visited the tomb of Sultan Ali Al Mukammal Inayat Shah, the 24th Sultan of Perak, in Gedong Siam, Sayong and the tomb of Sultan Yusuf Sharifuddin Mudzafar Shah (27th Perak Sultan) at Sayong Tengah Mosque.
