The Works Ministry will create a smart phone application to facilitate the channelling of complaints on road and infrastructural problems in the country.

Its minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said, via the application, the public could take photographs of road and infrastructural damages and send them to the ministry for follow-up action.

"This is our initiative we will carry out in expressing the ministry's full commitment to give our best service to all Malaysians," he said in his speech during a Media Dinner with the Works Minister here, Monday.

Fadillah said the ministry would also use the social media to interact with society and deliver information via Twitter and Facebook.

He said the ministry would also give its full commitment to ensure it could serve all levels of society, especially in the maintenance of highways and federal roads under its jurisdiction.

He added, the ministry, however, was not responsible for state and village roads which were under the state governments.
