Malaysia's sweetheart Datuk Siti Nurhaliza recently surprised her fans after posting a video of her practising a Tamil song, a well known number by Indian music director AR Rahman.

In several videos posted on her Instagram page, Siti is seen rehearsing and singing several verses of the song 'Nenje Ezhu'.

“Liking this new challenge…. Practicing in Tamil,” Siti told her 1.7 million followers on Instagram.

“It's an honour to sing AR Rahman song for International Superstars in Malaysia,” she added.

Shortly after the video was posted, her fans praised her efforts in excelling the pronunciations as it is not an easy task to memorise the lines of a third language.
