A severely bloated and decomposed body of a man was found floating in a river near a petrol station here, early this morning.

Passers-by curious about the suspicious object, had called the police.

Four officers from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Department were rushed to scene to retrieve the body.

Forensic checks revealed that the man who was found fully-clothed had died more than two days ago.

The highly-decomposed condition made it difficult to determine the victim’s identity. No identification documents were found on the victim.

The body was later taken to the University Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor for post-mortem.

The case has been classified as sudden death.
