Bersih 4 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah and six other people have been asked to be at Bukit Aman by 10.30am Wednesday to assist police investigation into the rally over the weekend.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the six other people were Bersih deputy chairman Sarajun Huda, treasurer Masjaliza Hamzah, committee members Farhana Halim and Fadiah Nadwa, secretariat member Mandeep Singh and student activist Adam Adli.

"They will be questioned by officers of the Bukit Aman Special Investigations Unit under Section 120, 124C and 141 of the Penal Code," he said when contacted by Bernama.

He said all of them were required to provide an explanation over the rally.

So far, he said, no warrant of arrest had been issued for these seven people.

Zainuddin declined to elaborate, only saying that the seven people were required to be at Bukit Aman to facilitate the investigation.

He said the Bukit Aman Classified Investigation Unit was probing a case where two women had stomped on a picture of the prime minister at the rally.
"These two individuals are asked to come immediately to the Dang Wangi Police headquarters to assist in the investigation. They will be investigated under Section 505B of the Penal Code," he said.

The police had declared the Bersih 4 rally as illegal but people defied the order to stage the street protest.
